Arete interview and Q&A with Joel Filliol, the coach of Vincent Luis, Mario Mola and Katie Zaferes the 1st and 2nd Male and 1st female ranked triathletes in the world by the ITU.

Nick Saban, who is considered one of the greatest coaches in college American football history, had a great philosophy towards coaching.

He said -

"I didn't invent any of this stuff. I learned it from somebody. So I am always looking for the next person I am going to learn something from'.

At Arete I/we/ the athletes have been fortunate to have live interviews, Q&A's and insights from pro-Athletes like Olympic Athlete and ITU World Cup Winner Beth Potter and the GOAT of triathlon the legend Chris McCormack.

We were treated to a live seminar with insights from one of the leading sports psychology companies in the world - Chimp Management.

I am always grateful for the ongoing support from the team of coaches at Arete, the South Central Regional Academy coaches, Scott and Diane, at the endurance coaches at Southampton AC, as well as being able pick the brains of coaches like Mick Woods who have guided young athletes to the Olympic Stage.

The goal when setting up Arete was to create a coaching and learning environment where athletes are exposed to all aspects of sport and to provide a platform to help mentor and coach the athletes and help them progress along their own pathway.

I am really excited that our next Zoom interview is with the coach behind the current no 1 and 2 Ranked ITU male athletes in the world Vincent Luis and Mario Mola, and the number 1 ranked female ITU athlete in the World Katie Zaferes.

Coach Joel Filliol was previously the Head Coach of British Triathlon where he was overseeing the development of the Brownlee brothers, Helen Jenkins, Will Clarke, Tim Don and the other members of the UK Sport funded World Class Programme.
